1. Olive Oil

 Since time immemorial, olive has been the preferred oil as it contains monounsaturated fats. This means that these fats do not oxidize. Oxidation is what causes some common fats to stick on the walls of the arteries, leading to the formation of plaque.

2. Tomatoes

Tomatoes are a good source of an antioxidant known as carotenoid lycopene. This antioxidant is a powerful substance that has been found to be useful in reducing the risk of atherosclerosis.

3. Grapes

Grapes contain a substance known as flavonoids. Flavonoids help prevent the oxidation of Low Density Lipoprotein, commonly referred to as bad cholesterol. Bad cholesterol or LDL is responsible for the formation of plaque inside the walls of the arteries.

4. Berries
